Russia disposes of European equipment in its spacecraft
Director of the Russian “Ross Cosmos” Foundation, Dmitry Rogozin, announced that his country will forego European scientific equipment on its lunar spacecraft in favor of homemade ones.
Rogozin added in an interview with Channel “Solovyov live”. “Instead of European scientific equipment, we will use Russian-made equipment in the lunar spacecraft, which we had previously decided to replace with European counterparts.” We intend to launch three vehicles to the moon in the coming years.
He added that they also intend to manufacture spacecraft equipment in collaboration with China in the future, as they have memorandums of cooperation in this field and have already signed government agreements with it to develop a research base on the moon.
“This could be done with other countries, but we are happy with our Chinese colleagues, “he stated.
Rogozin’s remarks come as the European Space Agency announced the suspension of cooperation with Russia in relation to the F-25 and F-26 missions, as well as a comprehensive review of all activities currently being carried out in collaboration with Russia and Ukraine.
