Israeli navy shoots at Palestinan fishermen in Gaza
The Israeli army’s navy on Friday opened fires at Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the northern Gaza Strip according to local sources.
Local sources said in a press statement that the Israeli navy was in the middle of the Gaza Strip sea, and opened fire with heavy machine guns toward the fishermen’s boats northwest of Gaza, forcing them to escape.
Usually, Palestinian fishermen are targeted by Israeli navy shooting, arrests, and confiscation of their boats.
According to the Palestinian Agriculture Ministry, fishing in Gaza includes around 4,000 fishermen, and 1,300 fishing boats.
