Zakaria Al-Zubaidi: “I was not able to bid farewell to all those I lost, nor bury them”
Palestinian prisoner Zakaria al-Zubaidi, a member of the Revolutionary Council of the Fatah movement, and one of the heroes prisoners of the Freedom Tunnel in Gilboa prison, on Saturday sent a message through the lawyer of the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority, after the killing of his brother Daoud al-Zubaidi.
Prisoner Zakaria al-Zubaidi said:l,
“I heard on the radio about the injury of my brother Daoud and his transfer to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
All those I lost, I couldn’t say goodbye to them and could not bury them.
My father was killed by Israeli soldiers when I was in Jenin prison and I heard that in the mosque’s speaker, and my mother was killed too in the the camp’s war and was buried by the cross due to the violently of the war we could not reach her, and she was the one who always said: “Allah makes my day before your day.” , (which means the date of his mother come before his death).
Besides, my brother Taha was buried, while I was under the wreckage of the camp and the demolished houses, and today David, I was not able to bid farewell to all of them, and I was not able to perform the mourning rituals”.
