Israeli bulldozers destroy a two-story building in Jerusalem

Israeli occupation bulldozers on Wednesday demolished a two-story Palestinian building in Beit Safafa town, south of Jerusalem, local sources reported.

It claimed that a large police force barged into town and surrounded the two-story building of Mohammad Judeh and Yazid Tina before razing it and uprooting two families totaling 13 people.

It added that the first level was made up of a 500-square-meter parking lot, and the second was made up of two 120-square-meter flats.

Judeh, the owner of one of the units, said he had filed multiple court petitions to stop his property from being demolished. Judeh paid 30,000 shekels ($9,000) the first time, and the demolition order was canceled. The order was eventually reinstated, and he was ordered to pay 50,000 shekels (about $15,000) and the order was postponed until September.

In a video posted on the Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s Facebook page, one lady explains how police leading dogs forcibly entered Judeh’s apartment, handcuffed him, and led him to a police vehicle without allowing him to show them the construction license or other relevant legal documents to defend his case.
