Dahlan marks ninth anniversary of Fatah leader “Abu Ali Shaheen”
Leader of the Democratic Reformists within Fatah Movement, Mohamed Dahlan, marked on Saturday the ninth anniversary of the Fatah leader’s death “Abu Ali Shaheen”.
Dahlan said in a press statement via his Facebook account that Abu Ali Shaheen paid a high price, to tell the truth in front of falsehood, endured the injustice of his relatives, refused to bargain on his deathbed, and remained true to national principles.
“It is impossible to remember the teacher, theorist, and revolutionary (Abu Ali Shaheen) in the context of resurrecting the heritage and values of a revolutionary leader and educator for future generations of fighters,” he said.
“However this day is an occasion to reflect on the reality of the national movement and the Fatah movement way.”
Dahlan asserted that today “we have to re-read Abu Ali Shaheen’s experience, Abu Ali who rejected exclusionary and exclusive decision-making policies and paid a high price for speaking the truth”.
it is noteworthy that today marks the ninth anniversary of the Fatah leader’s death “Abu Ali” Shaheen. On this day, the 28th of April 2013, the Fatah leader Abdel Aziz Shaheen, known as Abu Ali, died after falling into a coma at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City at the age of eighty years.
Shaheen had been suffering for months from a partial cessation of the liver’s work, which led to a rapid deterioration of his health, and he had to be transferred to the hospital more than once.
Abu Ali Shaheen belonged to the Fatah movement in January 1962 in Doha, Qatar, and devoted himself to military work in the Fatah movement in 1967, in the important camp in Syria.
He was arrested from September 25, 1967, until September 23, 1982, in Israeli prisons. He was the official of the captive movement (Fatah) during that period.
He spent 15 years behind Israeli bars, 12 of which were in solitary confinement. During which he supervised the establishment of the movement.
