Two Palestinian-owned houses in Masafer Yatta get Israeli demolition orders
Two Palestinian citizens of Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank received on Monday destruction charges against their houses, according to Fouad al-Amour, a local activist.
He reported that one 140-square meter house is located in Umm Qassa hamlet, while the other is 80 square meters and is found in Khashm al-Daraj hamlet.
The Israeli forces claimed the houses were built without a permit, which is unbelievable to get in Area C of the occupied West Bank and which is under full Israeli military control.
Israel intended to demolish more than 12 hamlets in Masafer Yatta and displace at least 1000 of their Palestinian citizens after the Israeli High Court granted the troops the go-ahead with the destruction earlier this month.
