Abu Rudeineh: Israeli storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque is invasion, not visit
The daily Israeli storming by extremist settlers into the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards, which are condemned, has become an attack and not simply a visit, today reported the spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh.
He emphasized the significance of keeping the legal and historical status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque, warning that the ongoing of this raid would turn the conflict into a religious war with serious repercussions.
Abu Rudeineh stated Israel’s attempts to alter the current historical and legal status quo by perpetuating its temporal division on the way to breaking it spatially, are rejected and convicted of failure.
He called on the US administration to take its responsibilities and force Israel to stop its escalation and storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque before it is too late.
He clarified that the ongoing double international standards and disregarding United Nations resolutions have become a cover and protection for attacks and blatant Israeli violations of international law, which enables the occupation to continue in its crimes.
