IOF raids Masafer Yatta, destroys residence displacing 15 people
The Israeli military forces on Monday invaded the Umm Qassa neighborhood in Masafer Yatta in the South Hebron Hills in the south of the occupied West Bank and destroyed a place expelling 15 people, local activists said.
Rateb al-Jabour, an activist said that Israeli bulldozers destroyed a 150-square meter residence owned by Nayef Kaabneh dwelled by 15 people, most of them children.
Another activist, Fouad al-Imour, clarified that the Israeli forces brought two bulldozers with them as they invaded the community and broke into several homes owned by the Kaabneh clan.
He added that the citizens faced the Israeli forces and bulldozers in an try to prevent the destruction.
Israel intends to destroy at least eight Palestinian communities in Masafer Yatta in light of the May 4 Israeli High Court decision giving the forces the green light to destroy and dislocate over 1000 Palestinian citizens after considering the area a firing zone.
