European anger expels over 200 Russian diplomats
The expulsion of Russian embassy crews on Wednesday in European capitals resumed as over 200 employees were instructed to leave, while charges of horrors by Russian forces against Ukrainian civilians severely pressed diplomacy.
Italy stated that 30 Russian officials are undesirable, while Spain said that it intended to expel 25 Russian officials.
Besides, Slovenia called on Russia to reduce the staff of its embassy to 33, Denmark, Romania, Sweden, and European Union institutions have collectively expelled 47 diplomats, Bloomberg reported.
European Union leaders assembled a new batch of sanctions against Russia as the world reacted with panic and anger to the war.
Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said at today’s event in Turin, “War crimes must be punished, adding, Putin, his authorities, and his army must pay for their actions.”
