Israeli forces ban men under 50 to pray Friday at Al-Aqsa
Israeli occupation authorities will impose further limitations on Palestinian entry to al-Aqsa Mosque, Beginning next Friday.
Only men over the age of 50 and women of all ages are allowed to perform Friday prayers, according to new restrictions established by the coordinator of the liaison office with the Palestinians.
Men aged 40 to 49 will require an Israeli permit to enter, according to the organizer.
Following a meeting of the Israeli war minister, chief of staff, and head of military operations, the new rules were adopted.
After Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid toured the Old City’s Bab al-Amud (Damascus Gate), and the neighborhood around it on Sunday amid heavy police presence, tensions in Occupied Jerusalem have been running high.
