IOF uses brutal force to disperse Palestinians at Damascus Gate
Israeli forces used inhumane force to stop Palestinians from celebrating Ramadan nights at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem for the seventh day in a row and since the beginning of the Muslim fast month of Ramadan the previous Saturday.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces attacked Palestinians assembling near and around Damascus Gate, one of the main gates to Jerusalem’s Old City, using absurd force against them, imprisoning some and wounding others.
The forces, some of them in civilian clothes, rush and jump the Palestinians, regardless of their age, and push them to leave the area.
Two people were wounded, according to Palestinian medics, one of them taken to hospital with an eye wound from a rubber bullet. Two were also jailed.
Palestinians traditionally celebrated around Damascus Gate after the night prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan. However, Israeli forces prevent them from enjoying their evenings in that area.
