New prisoner swap deal between Russia & Ukraine
New prisoner swap deal between Russia & Ukraine, Moscow and Kiev announced on Sunday a new prisoner swap deal for their military, against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine.
Russian Human Rights Commissioner, Tatiana Moskalkova, said that via the Telegram app the exchange took place yesterday evening, in particular involving four workers of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation (RUSATOM) and a number of Russian military personnel.
She continued that in the early hours of this morning they landed in Russian territory and will soon be met by their relatives and families.
Moskalkova announced yesterday the liberation of 14 sailors from the Russian merchant ship “Azov Concord” which was being held by the Ukrainian military at the port of Mariupol, as well as an exchange of truck drivers involving 32 Russian and 20 Ukrainian drivers and a number of Belarusian nationals.
Besides, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Irina Veryshchuk, confirmed a new swap deal on Saturday, which is (the third since the start of the conflict) while Moscow handed over 26 people, including 12 military personnel to Kiev.
