A Palestinian worker on Tuesday dawn was shot dead by an Israeli officer inside the southern occupied city of Ashkelon according to Israeli media.
The Israeli Risht Kahn channel said that the worker is 40 years old, stabbed an Israeli officer aged 37 and slightly injured him in the hand, following which he was taken to the Brzelai hospital in Ashkelon.
The Channel claimed that the Israeli police officer asked the worker to show his identity and his work permit, but he began stabbing the officer who immediately opened fire against the worker.
It noted that the officer was part of an Israeli patrol searching for Palestinian workers working without permits at construction sites in the area where the event took place.
Besides, local sources announced the death of a Palestinian worker, 40, from Hebron.
Palestinian workers in Ashkelon said, “We’re all working in the construction business, we were taking a short rest suddenly the Israeli occupation soldiers attacked us, and one of the troops shot a young man without reason.
To avoid documenting the incident, all of the workers were attacked, and their phones were confiscated.”
