Candace Cameron uses bible verse after JoJo Siwa insulted her
Candace Cameron Bure turned to her religion amid JoJo Siwa’s says that she is the “rudest celebrity” the pro dancer has ever met.
Devout Christian, Candace Cameron Bure, 46, published on her Instagram Stories Monday a quote that says, “Trust The Lord always,” and the bible verse Isaiah 26:4.
The verse said in full, “Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
Agents for Bure did not immediately return recommendations for statements on whether the “Full House” alum’s post was in reaction to Siwa’s claims.
Besides, Bure has not directly said the allegations in a comment or on social media.
On Sunday, Siwa, 19, became famous after she published a TikTok that marked Bure as the “rudest” celebrity she’s ever met.
The “Dance Moms” alum did not describe what happened during her alleged undesirable experience with the mother of three, but it’s possible the two traveled paths on the set of “Dancing With the Stars” at some point.
They both worked on the dance competition show albeit in different seasons with Siwa coming in second place on part 30 and Bure completing in third place on part 18.
Siwa and Bure also were presented on “The Kelly Clarkson” show together in 2019.
In a clip published online, the actress actually grants the YouTuber a gift in an effort to bring “Christmas cheer,” so it is ambiguous if a separate exchange occurred backstage.
“I heard that you like a lot of sweet things, so these are all cookie cutters and a little recipe card so you can have somebody make them for you on tour,” Bure told Siwa.
After the “Boomerang” singer’s famous video, the Internet became torn about whether or not to accept the accusation.
Some think that Bure’s faith may have recreated a role in her alleged manners toward Siwa, who came out as gay in January 2021.
“JoJo Siwa is queer, Candace Cameron Bure is deeply conservative. Not hard to believe,” one person said.
Another called Siwa’s bluff, saying via Twitter, “I can’t stand JoJo. Sure, you danced for Abby Miller and defended her even tho she was downright abusive to everyone, but Candace Cameron who has been called many things but never rude was the rudest celebrity you ever met. Sure……”
