UNRWA stops its services in dye to ongoing aggression on Gaza
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on Saturday declared the closure of all its facilities to the public until further notice, with the exception of the 22 health centers in the Gaza Strip.
The agency stated that, “Starting from August 7, and until further notice, all UNRWA facilities will be closed to the public except for the 22 health centers, where the centers will open their doors at the usual working hours, starting at 8: 30 am but it will be limited to providing basic services including dispensing medicines for patients with chronic diseases, high-risk pregnancies (non-risk cases will be followed up by phone), all postpartum cases, immunizations for children, acute dental cases and emergency laboratory services”.
The UNRWA said, “The beneficiaries are advised to use the telemedicine service, which they can access through the toll-free number: 1800444666.”
It asserted the ongoing of environmental health work and the operation of water wells without interruption as long as the situation permits, stressing that to obtain social support services, will be available through helplines
