Gantz: “It is difficult to reach peace with Palestinians…”
Israeli occupation forces Minister, Benny Gantz, examined his vision of a political solution with the Palestinians.
“This solution means a reality in which two separate Israeli and Palestinian entities live while defending Israeli security in the region,” the Israeli website Walla reported after Gantz’s statement.
Gantz added that these two entities will be politically separate, and economic cooperation is needed, according to (KAN).
“This solution guarantees the geographical connectivity of Palestinian areas through the establishment of transport infrastructure, It is difficult to reach peace in a broad sense, but we tried to find a better reality that enables us to live in peace and quiet,” he said.
He emphasized that he adheres great importance to his talks with President Mahmoud Abbas because Abbas fights violence and directs Palestinian endeavors to the political arena.
He added, “There is a discussion with President Abbas over some topics and there are Israeli needs and uncomfortable Palestinian steps for Israel, such as going to the International Court and calling Israel the “Apartheid State”.
“We consider these steps to be incorrect and wrong”.
Besides, Gantz strongly opposed the charge of salaries to the families of prisoners and martyrs, adding, “but we still talk and argue with him politely and respectfully”.
