Haaretz: Israel to increase permits for Gazan workers
The Israeli newspaper revealed on Thursday evening, Israeli consultations regarding increasing the number of permits for workers in the Gaza Strip.
The Haaretz newspaper reported that consultations are underway regarding the possibility of increasing the number of permits granted to the Gaza Strip, and the possibility of opening the way for women to work inside.
It added, “Permits are coordinated and granted between the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, the Shin Bet and the Israeli army.”
The Ministry of Labor in Gaza had said, “It was never informed of the occupation’s approval to employ Palestinian women from the Gaza Strip to work inside.”
It added, “We have offices spread across all governorates of Gaza, and so far there is no demand or inquiry about women’s desire to work inside.”
