You should go to bed before midnight
Researchers conducted a number of studies to find out what happens to the human brain if it stays awake after midnight.
A new study, titled The Mind After Midnight, finds that human body and brain follow a natural 24-hour cycle of activity that affects our emotions and behavior.
They found that waking up until the early hours of the morning was associated with an increased risk of suicide, involvement in violent behavior, alcohol and drug abuse, and increased food intake, according to Deutsche Welle , citing CBS Boston’s website and media reported.
The study was published in the journal Frontiers in Network Physiology.
The researchers concluded that the brain is pre-programmed to wake up during the day and sleep at night. But if the brain stays awake longer than usual, the neurons won’t have time to recover, they’ll get tired, and they won’t be able to function at their best, either that night or the next.
However, the result of the study does not apply to everyone.
There are people called “night creatures” who are more productive or creative at night
