Pilot fainted in the air.. terrifying moments experienced by plane passengers
Passengers of a plane heading from Britain to Turkey lived moments of terror and panic, when they felt a disturbance in the front of the plane.
Moments later they were told they would be landing in Greece as a “precautionary measure”.
After arriving at the Greek airport of Thessaloniki, the flight attendants informed the passengers that the pilot “fainted”, noting that his co-pilot made an emergency landing to provide first aid.
Passengers waited for more than an hour on the plane, until an ambulance evacuated the injured pilot, before allowing them to leave the plane, waiting to schedule another flight towards Turkey.
The British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, reported that medical emergencies are not covered in the “Jet2” compensation policy, which means that passengers did not receive any compensation for the delay that occurred to their flight.
