Beaten, threatened with weapons … Aubameyang is exposed to armed robbery
Barcelona striker Emeric Aubameyang’s house was subjected to an armed robbery during the past hours.
According to the Spanish newspaper, “El Pais”, a group of thieves wearing masks broke into Aubameyang’s house after midnight on Sunday, directed weapons at the Barcelona striker and assaulted him.
The newspaper confirmed that during the armed robbery, Aubameyang’s girlfriend was threatened with weapons, to open the safe and steal jewelry and money.
The newspaper pointed out that the thieves tied Aubameyang and put him on the ground for about an hour, noting that one of them spoke Italian.
Aubameyang is the second player from Barcelona to fall victim to a criminal act in the past few days, after his Polish colleague Robert Lewandowski was recently robbed of his luxury watch in the municipality of Sant Joan Despi, but the police immediately recovered the watch and arrested the thief.
It is noteworthy that the name of Aubameyang was associated with leaving Barcelona during the current period, in light of the interest of Chelsea and Manchester United to include him before the end of the summer Mercato.
Aubameyang was on the Barcelona bench during the Valladolid match that brought them together, yesterday, Sunday, in the third round of the Spanish League, which ended in a four-way match in favor of the Catalan team.
