$5 per month for new “Twitter Blue” service
The popular social media platform Twitter decided to raise the value of subscribing to its featured service “Twitter Blue,” about 8 months after its launch.
Twitter Blue, launched in the United States and New Zealand last November, allows subscribers to pay for features and functions that are not available to public subscription users, such as the ability to edit the tweet after clicking the post button and to read posts without advertising.
The value of the new service’s subscription was initially $3 per month but increased to $5 per month as of last Thursday.
CNN DotCom, a website specializing in technology topics, indicated that the increase would apply only to new subscribers at the moment, as current participants would not pay any increase in the value of their monthly subscription until next October.
