Jordan condemns Israeli restrictions against Christians on Holy Saturday
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Sunday Israeli occupation’s restrictions on Christians’ pass to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied Jerusalem during the Holy Fire ceremony yesterday.
Jordanian Ambassador, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, a spokesman for the ministry, reported that all Israeli restrictions aimed at limiting the right of Christians to free and open access to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to perform their religious rituals are rejected and condemned.
He emphasized that Israel, the Israeli occupation must respect the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its holy places, and must stop all restrictive standards against the Christians of occupied Jerusalem.
