Palestinian People Close to Victory: IRGC Commander
General Salami on Thursday said in a press statement one day before the International Quds Day marches, in a televised address to a ceremony in Gaza City.
“The so-called peace treaties, such as the Camp David Accords, the Oslo Accords, the Sharm El Sheikh Memorandum, and so on, have never been and will never be capable of resulting in the liberation of Palestine,” he stated.
“All such accords, which former US presidents, [former Israeli prime ministers Ehud] Olmert, [Benjamin] Netanyahu, Yitzhak Shamir, and Yitzhak Rabin attempted to seal, as well as the deal of the century, are nothing more than deception and a conspiracy to marginalize jihad, weaken the resistance front, buy time, and obliterate the nations’ awareness,” General Salami said.
He emphasized that the Palestinian people have realized that they will not be able to attain their goals unless they oppose and strive in the path of God (jihad).
Salami characterized recent occurrences in the occupied Palestinian lands as evidence of the Israeli regime’s harshness and the strength of resistance groups, emphasizing that Palestinian resistance fighters have strengthened the Muslim Ummah and altered the regional power balance.
The IRGC head hailed International Quds Day as a gift from Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran, noting that the event’s selection of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan placed Palestine at the top of the Muslim world’s priority list.
“The Palestinian people are on the verge of victory as the Israeli enemy weakens.” He claims that it has flaws in its politics, economy, and security apparatus.
“All Muslims around the world stand in solidarity with Palestinians in their fight against the Israeli dictatorship.” “Al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque are emblems of Muslim unity in support of Palestinians,” Salami said.
Earlier, the IRGC stated that current events in the occupied Palestinian lands demonstrate that Israel’s demise is inevitable and that the regime is condemned to die very soon.
