IOF tries to drag region into unacceptable religious war: Dahlan
Leader of Democratic Reformists within Fatah Movement, Muhammad Dahlan, on Thursday blessed the Palestinian worshippers, who fight the Israeli soldiers and settlers while storming Al Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque.
Dahlan said in a press statement via his Facebook account, “I salute the masses of Palestinians every where, who fight the battle to defend Jerusalem and our holy sites, and face the incursion of the occupation and herds of settlers at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque.”
Dahlan added that the Israeli occupation, with its aggressive behavior tried to drag the entire region into an unacceptable religious war.
“The world, which watched our tragedy without serious action, has to know that the temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque will not pass, and our people will confront it with all force and violence,” he said.
Dahlan called on the international community organizations and agencies to exert pressure to compel the occupation government to abide by UNESCO resolutions issued since 1956 and the latest in 2017 regarding the protection of Islamic holy sites.
Dahlan concluded the statement by calling on the Palestine Liberation Organizations, the Palestinian Authority, and the Palestinian national community to go to a comprehensive national dialogue, to develop a unified strategy to face these Israeli policies that target the Palestinian national project.
