Palestinien local sources reported on Friday that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on Palestinian farmers in the central Gaza Strip, forcing them to flee.
Sources said that soldiers stationed on Gaza’s eastern border attacked farmers east of Deir Al-Balah, in the Strip’s center, forcing them to leave with their sheep.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
Israeli forces often shoot at Palestinians who approach the Gaza-Israel border fence within a few hundred meters, whether to work on their lands or herd their cattle.
Israel does not allow Palestinians in Gaza to get within 300 meters of its border, which it considers a buffer zone, and frequently fires at farmers and anyone else who comes close.
