Bitcoin is Amazon era crypto: BlackRock
Former BlackRock managing director, Edward Dodd, believed bitcoin will be a more stable asset once the bear market ends. He described it as “Amazon Age of Encryption,” and predicted that it would occupy a place in everyone’s portfolio in the future.
Crypto winter will not defeat bitcoin
The latest decline in the cryptocurrency market, specifically the price of bitcoin, has created many skeptics who have predicted a grim future for the asset class to its end. However, BlackRock’s former equity portfolio manager – Edward Dodd – is not among them.
In the current meeting, he compared crypto winter to the dotcom bubble at the end of the last century. In his view, “powerful” cryptocurrencies would survive turmoil, while senseless projects would succumb. Dodd argued that Bitcoin’s core technology and the transparency and freedom it provides will undoubtedly help assets overcome problems.
He said BTC as the “crypto age Amazon,” which will eventually go beyond gold. Dodd’s narrative comes from the fact that it’s easier to handle a basic digital asset than a precious metal. People can buy small parts of it and should not worry about keeping their bunker in their basements. All they have to do is not lose their own keys.
The former BlackRock executive predicted that bitcoin would one day occupy a place in everyone’s portfolio. However, Dawn did not reveal whether he had already distributed some of his wealth in the leading cryptocurrency.
