Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak promise to tighten British borders
The UK will clear-out on more illegal immigration in the coming months regardless of who enters Downing Street, after Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak pledged new measures to tighten Britain’s borders.

An annual maximum number of refugees.
The campaign has so far seen both candidates stick to the government’s controversial asylum scheme in Rwanda, for which Britain is currently losing £120m it paid to Rwanda if courts rule the scheme to deport migrant’s illegal.
Both candidates have defended the policy, though officials from the East African nation’s government confirmed this week that it had received the full initial payment to the agreement signed in April and that the money was already “committed”, with some of the money being spent on preparations for arrivals.
