Chinese influencer eats white shark, what happened to her??
A Chinese influencer is under investigation by police after a video of her roasting and eating a large white shark went viral.
Footage of the video blog, known by its pseudonym Tizi which police in the central Chinese city of Nanchong confirmed last Sunday that it was a large white.
Tizi said she cuts large pieces of grilled shark meat in a video posted in mid-July last month, “She may look evil, but her meat is really very tender.”
Tizi is now under police investigation after filming herself eating a large white shark at risk, according to the Daily Mail.
Large white sharks have been listed as endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, meaning they are only one step away from being classified as endangered.
Shark populations, some of the oceans’ top vampires, have been threatened over the past few decades, mainly because of longline fishing and finning.
In China, they were listed as protected. Unlawful possession can result in a sentence of five to 10 years imprisonment.
One commenter wrote in response to the story, “It’s amazing that an internet celebrity can eat a protected animal in front of millions in broad daylight!”.
