International Academy campaign condemns Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip
The International Academy’s campaign against occupation and Apartheid condemned Israel’s aggression against the Gaza Strip on Friday, 5 August 2022.
The Israeli raids killed 10 citizens, including 5-year-olds, and injured 75 others, including children, women, and the elderly.
The campaign considered this aggression an act of war crimes because it targeted Palestinian civilians and also the educational facilities of the Open University of Jerusalem in clear violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, including the Fourth Convention, which included the inviolability of targeting civilians and the need to protect education from attack in wartime.
The International Academic Campaign called on the international community to impose sanctions on Israel and hold it legally responsible for its recent aggression and the need to exert pressure to put an immediate end to this aggression.
