Zoom app fixes serious security flaw
The virtual video meeting application “Zoom” introduced a fix for a serious security flaw that could allow “hackers” to take control of the user’s operating system, according to the Russian “Sputnik” agency.
The security flaw was present on the Mac OS computers of the American company, “Apple”, which targets the “Zoom” installer, and requires special user permissions to run, according to the “Mark Roomers” website.
By taking advantage of this tool, the hackers were essentially able to “trick” the application into installing malware on the device, by placing an encrypted “Zoom” signature on the package, from which point the attackers could gain additional access to the user’s system, allowing They can modify, delete or add files to the computer.
The fix for the security flaw is available in update 5.11.5 from the app on Mac.
