Hamas condemns Israeli demolition calls of Al-Aqsa mosque
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” on Wednesday condemned the Israeli demolition calls of the Dome of the Rock on May 29.
Hamas said in a press statement that these calls are like playing with fire and that it will result in retaliation against the Israeli army, and it has to bear its full responsibility if that happens.
The call by the head of the Israeli “Lahava” organization for settlers to demolish the Dome of the Rock and construct their alleged temple on the so-called “Unification of Jerusalem” day, which falls on Sunday, May 29, is a direct provocation to the Palestinian feelings, and nation, as well as a dangerous escalation against Palestinian identity, values, and sanctities.
Hamas would blame Israel for all of the consequences if this happens, because it will revolt against the Israeli army’s leaders and government, bringing with them to predict their demise.
Hamas called on Palestinian people to gather at the blessed Al-Aqsa, and fight the Israeli army with all means, it also call on the Islamic nation, leaders, organizations, and people, to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to prevent any escalation or tampering with the shrine of Prophet Mohammad, and all Muslims.
“We call on the international community, its institutions and organizations to criminalize and prevent these Israeli crimes, which will have serious repercussions on the entire region”, Hamas said.
