Eating habit causes cancer!!!

Nutritionists revealed eating habits could increase the risk of cancer by reducing or increasing specific food items.

Many are keen to ensure that the food on their menu contains a lot of folic acids (vitamin B9) and other types of vitamin B.

While both can help keep you feeling healthy and young, new data has found that not enough folate and vitamins in group B can lead to cancer-related problems, according to Eat This, Not That.

Pedro Carrera Bastos, a researcher in nutrition, metabolism, and inflammation at Lund University, Sweden, says, “The lack of certain elements including folate and group B vitamins (B12, B6, B3) leads to chromosomal rupture, a lack of DNA methyl, and increased sensitivity to mutations (chemical or physical agents that cause genetic structure change).”

For its part, dietitian Blair Persion says, “Folic acid, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 play a key role in the synthesis of methionine and DNA methylation.

When DNA methylation is changed, there is a greater chance of gene mutations and DNA damage, which may eventually lead to cancer. ”

She added, “Due to its role in DNA methylation, the lack of folic acid has been associated with a raised risk of cancer. At the same time, some studies have also found a link between increased folic acid and an increased risk of cancer.”

That’s why Blair said, It’s important to “make sure that we include folic acid-rich foods in our diet without overdoing it by adding higher supplements than RDA (recommended dietary allowance).”

To confirm that you do just that, Blair said, “men and women 19 years of age or older should aim for 400 micrograms of folic acid equivalent (DFE), pregnant women should aim for 600 micrograms of DFE, and nursing women should aim for 500 micrograms of it.”

She asserted that some of the favorite plant sources of B vitamins are legumes, leafy vegetables, nutritional yeast, whole grains, nuts, and seeds.
