Gaza family: “Our son was beaten to death by IOF in West Bank”
A 32-year-old man from the Gaza Strip on Monday was beaten to death by Israeli occupation soldiers near the separation barrier in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to the family of the dead.
Sources said the family of Ahmad Harb Ayyad, from the Zaitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, charged the Israeli soldiers with abusing their son to death as he tried to cross the barricade via a hole to get to his workplace inside Israel.
The family reported the Israeli army handed it last night the body of its son at the Beit Hanoun/Erez crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip and was later buried at a cemetery in his district.
The news asserted the Israeli soldiers also opened fire and wounded another Palestinian man in the exact location near the separation barricade.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in a press statement today the killing of Ayyad and held the Israeli government fully and directly accountable for what is defined as a crime.
The Ministry called on the United Nations and the international community to give security to the Palestinian people in the occupied regions who are being killed every day by government-sanctioned military acts.
