Gaza farmers suffocated, injured by Israeli forces on border fence
A number of Gaza farmers were suffocated on Saturday morning when Israeli forces stationed at the border fence fired teargas canisters at them while working on their lands, local sources reported.
Sources said that Israeli forces at a watchtower east of Gaza City in the north of blockaded Gaza Strip, fired many canisters of teargas at the farmers working in lands east of the Zaytoun neighborhood causing several suffocation cases.
The farmers had to leave their work short and the area to avoid being shot at.
Israeli soldiers at the border regularly assault Palestinian farmers working on their farms near the fence to keep them away from that location.
