How could we speed up the Internet on phones? Many devices and smartphone users experience slow Internet performance on occasion.
There are simple solutions to alleviate this issue:
Technical expert and head of the infrastructure development department at the Russian company Yotaof, Andrei Trofimov, said, “Owners of modern smart devices have a greater chance of obtaining a higher internet speed than owners of older devices, but there are some ways to take advantage of the maximum capabilities of the old device as well”.
He added, “Watching high-definition videos or downloading files via P2P protocols, for example, can be moved from the peak period of Internet use, i.e. during the day, to the evening session.”
He explained, “One of the things that affect the internet speed in the device is also the applications that run in the background, so it is recommended to close unused or unnecessary applications when they are not needed.”
He advised not to use cloud services over the Internet when they are not necessary, and when using VPN applications, you must use stable-performing applications also.
He concluded, that the distance between the phone and the communication tower, as well as the selection of the proper location in the home or workplace to use the phone in order to receive the towers’ signals, are two factors that influence the speed of the Internet through cellular networks.
