Israeli navy shoots at Palestinian fishing boats offshore Gaza
Israeli navy shot its fire at Palestinian fishing boats sailing in Gaza waters, according to local sources.
Sources said that Israeli navy forces assaulted with gunfire and teargas Palestinian fishermen’s boats sailing offshore Rafah city to the south of the besieged Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported.
The fishermen returned back to shore for fear of being detained, injured, or killed after Israeli forces forced them to return.
Israeli forces always harass fishermen and farmers at border sites and prevent them from earning a living.
Israel has set a tightened siege since 2007 after Hamas won the democratic legislative elections and took over power in the strip.
