Meta warns Europe again to remove Facebook & Instagram
Meta Platforms renewed its threat to withdraw Facebook and Instagram social media services unless a new transatlantic data transfer agreement is reached.
Bloomberg News reports that Meta’s warning comes under an imminent ban on data transfers that the company is already facing from the Irish Data Protection Authority, which monitors American technology companies.
The Irish Data Protection Authority could issue a major decision on a possible ban on data transfers between the European Union and the United States.
