Metaverse launches innovative digital clothing store
Metaverse, which includes Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has launched a digital clothing store for users’ avatars via MetaForce technology.
The announcement by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg about the launch of the new virtual store via Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger came during a live stream via Instagram, with Eva Chen, vice president of Instagram for fashion companies.
The store allows users to buy digital clothing for their avatars on various “Meta” platforms, and the company plans to make the store an open market for luxury fashion houses globally, where developers can create and sell digital clothing, which Zuckerberg promises to be a big driver of the creative economy.
Zuckerberg believes that new fashion clothing options are a way for users to express themselves through their avatars.
The store begins to appear in the coming days, initially offering digital clothing from Balenciaga, Prada, and Tom Brown, including a motocross outfit, a logo hood, and suits, according to Sky News Arabia.
The world’s luxury fashion houses have been increasingly cooperating, with technology companies, to create their own-brand digital clothing.
Last year, made such a move, enabling its users to buy jackets, bearing the brand of the famous French fashion house “Balenciaga.”
It is not known how many people may accept the purchase of clothing to decorate their avatars with designer clothes, and Meta has not disclosed any information on the prices of these digital clothing to be released on its various platforms, but it should be noted that free clothing options for “Meta” avatars will remain available.
Earlier this year, Meta posted her hologram images on Instagram and posted the updated avatars on Facebook and Massinger.
The new update introduced more expressions, faces, skin tone, and avatar access devices.
The word “metaverse” is a term for describing the digital world, with many users can interact in a three-dimensional environment, where it will allow a person to have their own avatar, and their titles will be recorded on digital platforms.
