Russia to ship 41.4m gas cubic meters to Europe via Ukraine
The Russian gas giant Gazprom said it would ship 41.4 million cubic meters of gas to Europe via Ukraine on Saturday.
Russia announced on Friday that the decline in Russian gas supplies to Europe was not the result of Moscow’s policies, but rather the result of European Union sanctions on Russia.
The Russian Embassy in Germany said in a press statement that Russian gas exports to the European Union had declined markedly during the recent period, although they were not caused by Moscow’s policies, but by Western sanctions on Russia.
Russia reported that meanwhile, Poland has halted deliveries via the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline.
According to the statement, Ukraine reduced the transit of Russian gas supply through its territory, and the German side suspended the adoption of the fully exploited Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which has undergone all necessary technical checks for political reasons.
