TikTok allows parents to control children’s accounts
After a large wave of criticism and warnings of the seriousness of some of its content to kids, TikTok launched two features that allow parents to control their children’s accounts, in terms of reducing the appearance of adult content in front of them.
In the first feature, parents are able to create a blacklist of phrases, words, and tags for children’s inappropriate content, while the other allows them to curb the flow of videos to limit the chances of harmful content appearing.
Social media experts said the two features came “in response to criticism by consumer protection organizations of TikTok because of inappropriate content appearing before adolescents.”
He told Sky News, “The new step gains importance from the system return on which TikTok is based, which is automation”.
