Twitter cuts annual employee bonuses in half
Twitter notified employees that they could receive about half of their annual bonus due to the company’s financial performance, according to the New York Times.
The newspaper quoted Bloomberg News, citing the newspaper, that the challenges faced by Twitter include the uncertainty of advertising companies linked to the war in Ukraine and a legal dispute with Elon Musk over his plan to abandon the $ 44 billion purchase of the company.
The newspaper cited two unnamed employees who received an email from the office of Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal on Friday about the bonus alert.
While the number may change during the year depending on earnings, the bonus ratio is currently 50% of potential earnings if financial goals are met. A Twitter spokesperson confirmed to The New York Times the details of the email and declined to comment further.
