WhatsApp doubles financial support for Jerusalem settlements
The Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, on Saturday revealed that the founder of the WhatsApp application, Jan Koum, is the largest supporter of the American organization supporting the Israeli occupation “AIPAC”.
He made a record donation of two million dollars to the Democratic primary elections, last month; To defeat candidates who support Palestinian rights.
“Haaretz” reported that the billionaire “Kom” doubled his donations to the settlement groups in the occupied city of Jerusalem, and to combat the anti-occupation rhetoric in universities around the world.
Koum’s net worth is estimated at between $9.8 to $13.7 billion, and in addition to his high donations to AIPAC, he donated $140 million in 2019 and 2020 in the form of gifts to more than 70 pro-occupation charities operating in the United States.
