IOF shoots four Palestinians in northern West Bank raids
Israeli occupation forces on Thursday dawn shoot and wounded four Palestinians in the northern West Bank districts of Nablus and Jenin, according to local sources.
Sources said that Israeli military vehicles broke into Nablus city, where the forces ransacked several houses.
During the ensuing confrontations, the heavily-armed soldiers opened fire on local youths, wounding one by a live round in the leg.
Meanwhile, a number of military vehicles and a bulldozer stormed the Jenin refugee camp and city as snipers arranged themselves on rooftops of residential buildings, triggering confrontations.
The soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters and stun grenades, hitting three young men with live rounds in the shoulder and foot.
The injured people were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
Israeli forces frequently storm Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, beginning clashes with citizens.
These Israeli raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over more than 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
