Drinking water with lemon on empty stomach has dangerous risks
Drinking water with lemon on empty stomach has dangerous risks, Dr. Pavel Ismbaev, a weight-loss specialist at Chelyabinsk’s hospital revealed that those should avoid drinking water with lemon on an empty stomach.
He said that the ideal amount of lemon juice in water is between a few drops and a tablespoon in 250 mL of water.
He declares: “The water has a negative effect on the tooth enamel as the number of lemon juice increases.” Because it is destroyed by acidity.

Drinking water with lemon should therefore be done with a small straw (aspirator). Lemon juice, of course, helps to prevent the formation of erosion and ulcers in the gastrointestinal mucous membrane. It does, however, aggravate the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, including acid belching, nausea, and heartburn.
As a result, anyone experiencing similar symptoms should avoid drinking lemon water, particularly on an empty stomach.
He added that because vitamin D in lemons increases iron absorption, people with high iron levels should avoid drinking too much lemon juice because the body’s high iron content is toxic and can harm the liver.
“I’ve heard from migraine sufferers that citrus fruits can cause headaches,” he says. However, there is no scientific basis for such claims.

There have been no scientific studies on the health benefits of lemon water, and everything said about the drink’s benefits and drawbacks are based on personal experiences.
