Israel kidnaps 464 Palestinians in June, including 70 kids
The Israeli occupation authorities arrested 464 Palestinians in June, including 70 kids and 18 women, and 3873 Palestinians since the beginning of the year, Palestinian prisoners’ advocacy groups reported on Thursday.
The Prisoners Affairs Commission, the Prisoner Society, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated in their joint monthly statement on Israeli arrest of Palestinians that 159 of those arrested in June and 1896 since the beginning of the year were from occupied East Jerusalem, and 15 arrested in June and 64 since the beginning of the year were from the Gaza Strip.
They added that Israeli occupation forces authorized 153 administrative detention orders against Palestinians in June, including 58 new orders and 95 renewal of existing ones, and 862 orders since the beginning of the year, including 398 new ones.
The advocacy groups asserted a total of 4650 Palestinian freedom fighters are currently incarcerated in Israel for their resistance of the Israeli occupation, among them 30 women and 180 kids, in addition to over 650 held in administrative detention without charge or trial.
They added there are also hundreds of ill inmates, 23 of them are suffering from different levels of cancer.
