Biden to pay $100 million in support of Palestinian hospitals
US President Joe Biden on Friday said in a press release during a visit to Al-Mutalaa Hospital in Jerusalem that he will pay $100 million to support the Palestinian hospitals.
“We are committed to paying $100 million in support of Palestinian hospitals,” Biden said during a press conference.
He continued, “We are proud to assist these health institutions, stressing support for the health and dignity of the Palestinian people.”
Biden added that (Covid 19) has greatly affected the population as well as around the world,” noting that America “will add $100 million to support these facilities that serve the Palestinian people.”
The US President asserted, “We are working to eradicate cancer and we are investing in it, and we hope that other countries will support this health sector to serve the Palestinian people and support cancer patients so that they have hope for treatment.”
During the conference, Biden stressed the need to “work with the Palestinian leadership and international partners to ensure that this network of hospitals continues to perform its role with high-level health services.”
