Biden says he ‘has’ cancer, White House denies
President Biden on Wednesday said in a press statement that he has cancer, forcing the White House press office to quickly report that he was referring to skin cancer treatment that he had last year before taking office.
The statement initially revealed to be a stunningly casual health declaration during a speech about global warming in which he said emissions from oil refineries near his childhood house in Claymont, Del.
“That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer and why for the longest time Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation,” Biden stated.
White House spokesman Andrew Bates referred The Post to a statement via twitter from Washington Post columnist Glenn Kessler, who reported that Biden had “non-melanoma skin cancers” before he took the administration.
It’s strange why Biden chose to use a present verb tense to said his experience with cancer.
Skin cancer is extremely popular, especially among older people who didn’t wear sunscreen in their youth, and generally isn’t life-threatening.
