Former Liverpool star: “Salah‘ll score 30 goals”
Former Liverpool star John Aldrig predicted Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Reds professional, will present an extraordinary season with Liverpool.
“Mohamed Salah appeared differently during the City clash as if he had signed a new contract with Liverpool over the last two games by appearing at a technical level distinguished from what we saw at the end of last season, appearing to be the furthest load and pressure from him after renewing his contract with the club.”
He added, “I expect to see a big season of Mohamed Salah, his competition for the Golden Boot again, he will have a great understanding with Darwin Nunez and the pair will be a great strength for Liverpool.”
He asserted, “Salah will score at least 20 goals over the next season, possibly up to 30 goals.”
On Liverpool’s new deals, Aldrig said, “Happy to sign Nunez, Fabio Carvalho looks set to be a great player for Liverpool, and Klopp will succeed in developing players as he did for Luis Diaz.”
Mohamed Salah was named the Premier League’s top scorer last season, after scoring 23 goals, equalling South Korea’s Son Heung-min, the Spurs star, and Salah was awarded the Premier League Player of the Year award by the Professional Players Association.
Salah glowed at the start of the new season, having recently led Liverpool to the Charity Shield Cup by beating Manchester City by three goals against a goal, scoring the second goal of the game from the penalty spot and creating the first goal to contribute to the Reds’ first title of the new season.
