U.S. issues global warning after Al-Zawahiri‘s killing
The US State Department issued a “global warning to American citizens”, following the killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, who said that “supporters of al-Qaeda or its terrorist organizations may seek to attack American installations or citizens.”
The ministry added in a statement that it “believes there is a greater likelihood of violence against America.”
According to CNN News on Wednesday, “Current information indicates that terrorist organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks against U.S. interests in multiple regions around the world.”
It stated: “A variety of tactics, including suicide operations, assassinations, kidnappings and bombings, may be used in these attacks.”
“Since terrorist attacks, political violence (including demonstrations), criminal activities and other security incidents often occur without any warning, United States citizens must maintain a high level of vigilance and exercise good awareness when travelling abroad.”
