IOF admits killing 5 Palestinian kids in latest aggression on Gaza
Israeli occupation forces admitted on Monday, that its forces were behind the bombing of the Fallujah cemetery in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the death of five children at the time, including four from the Najm family.
The children are: Jamil Ihab Najm (13 years old), Jamil Najmuddin Najm (4 years old), Hamed Haider Najm (16 years old), Muhammad Salah Najm (17 years old), and Nazmi Fayez Abu Karsh (14 years old).
According to the Israeli newspaper (Haaretz), “Contrary to the initial report issued by the Israeli army at the time that they were killed as a result of Islamic Jihad’s rockets, as happened in Jabalia the night before the event, it was found through military investigations that the children were killed as a result of an Israeli air strike.”
According to the military investigation, no jihad missile launches were detected at that time, and air force data also shows that it attacked targets in the area at that time.
The newspaper clarified that the army chose not to mention the attack publicly, and did not publish any documentation of it, however, during closed talks with the participation of senior security officials that took place in the aftermath of the incident, it was said that the five were believed to have been killed as a result of an air attack.
An Israeli military spokesman said, “His forces examined and investigated their attacks during the operation and their results, and further investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident,” according to his report.
